“Ms Interior Architect - How Women Build Houses”

Do women build differently than men? Do they choose different materials? How do you choose materials? How does communication with the client work? How do you communicate with the craftsmen? Are there specifically female architectural styles?
These and similar questions were discussed by a panel of top-class women at the Swissbau Focus in Basel. The aim was not to confront the construction and architecture sector, which is still dominated by men, but to show what new perspectives women bring to the profession of architect and interior designer. Approaches that can provide new impulses. It was not a women's rights-political event, but rather a talk about the lives and work of women interior designers and architects who have already created good things and will continue to create great things. The panel discussion is available as a film.

Storytelling – Argolite Architecture Dialogue

Everything starts with an idea. Argolite, the Swiss manufacturer of high-pressure laminates (HPL), helps the target group of architects gain a better understanding of the HPL product – so the Argolite Architecture Dialogues were created. Company presentations are staged before audiences of invited guests in architecturally appealing buildings where HPL from Argolite has been installed. In this intimate ambience, inspiring speakers explain how the company’s products offer added value. The events are followed up by targeted marketing of the story covered in the dialogue, with the use of various channels to maximise reach.

“On dealing with architectural pearls”

Argolite presented its third Architecture Dialogue under the motto "On dealing with architectural pearls". The talk, which presented the planning and conversion of unique Swiss buildings, was a live discussion with Christoph Schneider, Dipl.-Ing. Architekt SIA and partner of SAM Architekten from Zurich, and Roland Leutwyler, Sales Manager and Member of the Executive Board of interior construction professional GLAESER from Baden at the World Football Museum in Zurich.

“Everybody’s welcome – the architecture of accessibility”

Argolite presents its second Architecture Dialogue with ETH architect Susanne Fritz as a film aboard the motor vessel “Wädenswil” on Lake Zurich. In addition to the live events, the film format was created as a way of continuing the storytelling during the situation triggered by the Covid pandemic.

“How conventional technology can drive innovation”

The first Argolite Architecture Dialogue took place in the exclusive setting of Studio Lookout’s premises not far from the city of Basel. The conversation between Anita Simeon Lutz, Editor-in-Chief of “Das Ideale Heim” magazine, and Philipp Kuntze, Head of Handicrafts at the Ballenberg Open-Air Museum, yields enriching insights into the important role that conventional technology plays in modern innovations. The dialogue is also available as a podcast (in German language).
